Winter Arts & Crafts 2021

Arts and crafts can be a great way to teach and practice different skills from fine motor skills to listening skills. There are so many fun arts and crafts projects you can do at home and tailor them to meet the needs of your child(ren). Keep reading for some ideas, instructions, and what you’ll need for our list of winter arts and crafts 2021.

Cotton Ball Snowman

Cut out 3 different size circles from paper plates. Glue them together from smallest (on top) to biggest (on bottom). Glue cotton balls on the paper plates for the “snow” effect on the snowman. You can use other items you may have at home for the eyes, nose, mouth, buttons, and arms of the snowman. Let your child’s creativity shine by having them add anything else they want on the snowman.

Snowflake Garland

Fold the paper and cut out different shapes along the folded parts. Cut out the shape you want your snowflakes to be on the unfolded edges. Open up the folded paper, string the yarn through, and check out your garland. Now it’s time to decorate. Keep it simple or go crazy with glitter, crayons, markers, and other items to decorate.

Gingerbread Person

Cut out a gingerbread bread person from construction. Decorate the gingerbread person however you like. Be creative. You can give it clothes, hair, or keep it more traditional add some gumdrop buttons.

Get some pine cones and decorate them. Dip them in paint or glitter.

Paper Plate Snow Globe

Get a paper plate and decorate it. Add what you’d like inside. You can draw a picture, add some glitter, use cotton balls to make a snowman—be creative. Once you’ve decorated, cover the front of the paper plate with the plastic dessert plate and glue it down to give it a snow globe effect. Shake it and watch the snowflakes move around.
